Benj4min The Future (formerly Namon Eugene; birth name Benjamin Franklin) is a New York City-based conceptual artist whose practice explores the collapse of boundaries between digital and analog life. Working across visual art, performance, writing, and digital media, he uses minimalist forms to make visible the mechanics of contemporary emotional experience — particularly how we claim autonomy, define power, and navigate existence in the digital age.
Alongside his artistic practice, he is an accomplished arts and culture writer and editor. His editorial expertise has helped shape content for leading print publications, digital media companies, and platforms, including Ebony Magazine, Blavity Inc., and EDITION by Modern Luxury Media in collaboration with Roc Nation.
The foundation for his multidisciplinary art practice was laid when he designed the album artwork for singles he released while signed as a singer-songwriter. At the time, he was under a publishing and record deal with a label founded by the family of renowned composer David Rose.
His career in media began at WNYC, America’s most listened-to public radio station, where he worked on the acclaimed podcast Death, Sex & Money.
