“Son-Rise (Ahhhh!)” is an abstract video portrait of Benj4min’s relationship with his father, exploring the push-and-pull of parental influence and the necessity of taking up space. Through color, form, and sound, the piece reflects on rising with confidence, being diminished, and ultimately reclaiming full authority over one’s life. It is a meditation on self-love, resilience, and the power of unapologetic self-ownership.
